The heat inductor has transformed how we perform certain repairs. We were previously using an oxyacetylene torch and finding that it wasn’t up to the task – for example, with a steering lock you can struggle on for hours. That’s much easier now with a heat inductor
It saves hours on certain jobs because we don’t need to replace parts or other connected components when fastenings are too stubborn to shift. This saves workshop hours, saves our customers’ money, and in turn enables us to offer a faster and more affordable service.
We purchased the Josam JH1000 because we heat a lot of chassis and body parts during accident repairs. No question, it has quickly paid for itself and continues to be a workshop asset. Also, I’m pleased to add that the equipment is easy to use, easy to maintain and training and support from AES has been excellent.”
The heat inductor is quite simply a Godsend. This little piece of equipment scores high in terms of safety, while enabling us to speed up routine maintenance and repair work such as seized up ball joints, chassis screws, casings and wheel nuts. Using gas, we would often have to cut away the seized component, which meant first removing any flammable materials or electrics that could be affected by the heat.
Brian says the JH400s have become a “first port of call” in place of “the last resort” that was oxyacetylene heating and, in addition to revolutionising the day-to-day jobs, they have even helped the company to attract new technicians
